Griffith Observatory

A public observatory owned and administered by the city of Los Angeles for educational purposes. It was established in accordance with the will of Colonel Griffith J. Griffith, and formally dedicated in 1935. The facilities include a planetarium, a science exhibition and a 30-centimetre (12-inch) telescope for free public viewing.
